Fourth Rangeday of the PAA Shooting Academy has been a huge success despite restrictions

REVIEW. Testing guns, having fun at shooting and rounding everything off with a comfortable hygiene concept – these are the hallmarks of the Rangeday organized by the PAA Shooting Academy. This known event has taken place in the Czech city Mecin near Pilsen on the weekend of the 3rd of October 2020 and was visited by roughly 100 participants. Everything was able to take place as planned due to the implementation of a hygiene concept; the visitors were in good hands while enjoying nice weather and bright sunlight.

The Taipan model is designed for static precision disciplines and is the result of close cooperation between experienced shooters and the experts from the Frankonia Tuning Center.

The goal of this project was clearly defined. Two essential factors should be combined with one another: On the one hand, the mature CZ technology designed as a basis with excellent tuning parts and, on the other hand, the extensive experience in development and assembly. Numerous practical and precision tests, as well as several thousand shots ultimately led to a result that is quite impressive in terms of perfection!

Due to the safety on both sides, the weapon is ideally suited for right and left handed shooters. The pistol can also be adapted for shooters with smaller hands. This is ensured by the handle width of just 29 mm and an adjustable trigger advance.

The Taipan comes with a 19-round magazine and 2 reserve magazines, a 6-inch barrel (153 mm) and a sight length of 206 mm. The magazine release button can be converted to left-hand operation. The total weight – including the empty magazine – is 1,270 g. This first-class sport pistol comes with an LPA TRT sight, a finely redesigned single-action-only trigger (SAO) with a special aluminum trigger, a coordinated single-action-only hammer and aluminum grips with sharp checkering (corrugated surface) delivered.

The Czech Republic has been a risk area since September 23, 2020!

What does that mean for the event and your participation?

The event will certainly take place, since according to Czech law, events can be held outdoors up to 2000 participants.

We take the Corona issue seriously and therefore work with a hygiene concept.

The range is 100% outdoors and offers plenty of space to keep safe distances at all times.

The reason for the trip to the Czech Republic must not be private!

Non-private trips to the Czech Republic are possible without having to take a mandatory COVID test on return.

The PSA Rangeday is not a private event!

Product test PSA Rangeday not a private leisure event!

As there has been conflicting information about the upcoming PSA Rangeday so far, we would like to point out that the upcoming PSA Rangeday is primarily a product test. There is no leisure event because (among other things) weapons were made available to us by the manufacturers for this very day as part of a product test. In return, these manufacturers expect an assessment of the weapons made available.

When leaving the range day, it is therefore mandatory to rate the products you have tested. You will then also receive a certificate of participation for the product tests.

Due to the free activity to test the product, according to the current quarantine regulation in Bavaria, a maximum stay of 48 hours in the Czech Republic applies. This must not be exceeded, otherwise you have to take a free COVID test.

After you have successfully re-registered, we will send you an invitation by email.
